Wellnecessities is currently seeking an experienced Biller to join
our team.
JOB SUMMARY
Maintain liaison with insurance companies and health maintenance
organizations, to obtain insurance verification data and
pre-certification approval for admissions; maintain liaison with
physicians, nurses and administrative staff to resolve problems and
to address interdepartmental complaints. Coordinates all completed
studies to make certain they are faxed to the referring physicians,
interpreting physicians and the hospital.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Verification of insurance coverage with client and insurance
company.
Gather necessary information from clinicians for billing
purposes.
Work closely with the Billing Department to ensure
insurance/billing information is complete.
Perform and/or assist others in assigned tasks related to
information and communication flow.
Maintain the professional image of the department and
organization.
Ensure optimal customer service.
Perform other related duties incidental to work described
herein.

The position of the Insurance Coordinator is exposed to

members, parents, peers, residents and members of the
community.

Occasional travel required
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
License: Valid Louisiana State Driver's License required.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) mandatory.
Experience: One (1) year of medical office related experience with
insurance verification.
Skills: Knowledge and experience in the use of the Internet,
E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Soft Aid.
Strong organization skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently on assigned task, as well as to
accept direction on given assignments.
Able to work collectively with administrative team associates.
Talking to others to convey information effectively.
