Job Description Job Description Journeyman Electrician Job Description We are seeking a skilled electrician to execute plans of electrical wiring and ensure well-functioning lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems. The role involves installing electrical devices and fixtures such as switches, circuit-breaker panels, fire alarm systems, plugs, and lighting. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints to execute electrical plans. Install electrical devices and fixtures including switches, circuit-breaker panels, fire alarm systems, and lighting. Pull and install wiring. Bend and install conduit. Troubleshoot, inspect, install, and replace wires as needed. Essential Skills At least 4 years of commercial electrical experience. Ability to read blueprints. Experience in bending and installing EMT conduit. Knowledgeable in the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical theory. Journeyman certification is a plus. OSHA 10 certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications Journeyman card is a plus but not required. CPR and First Aid training are preferred. Experience with rigid conduit. Strong troubleshooting abilities. Must have a diploma or GED and a valid driver's license. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will be working on new construction projects in the greater Nashville area, with the first project likely being a police training facility near John C Tune airport. The position is Monday through Friday, 1st shift, starting between 6:00 am and 7:00 am, generally working 8-hour days. Be open to overtime during the week and Saturday work. Must have OSHA 10 certification to work on the job site, with the option to take the class during orientation if needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
