Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. An opportunity is available for an experienced Early
Childhood Special Education Teacher to serve students aged 3 to 4
years. This full-time, contract position involves working as an
itinerant teacher across 3-4 school sites, including homeschool
settings, daycares, and Head Start centers in the Shreveport, LA
area. Responsibilities include: Delivering specialized instruction
aligned with state and local curricula tailored to young learners
with diverse needs. Leading IEP meetings following the special
education calendar, ensuring full compliance. Conducting rigorous
progress monitoring and maintaining accurate electronic records of
student goals. Organizing mobile learning environments and
integrating technology to promote active student engagement and
academic growth. Collaborating with parents and community partners
to support holistic student development. Submitting timely progress
and evaluation reports. Qualifications/Desired Experience: Valid
Early Childhood Special Education Teaching Certification is
required. Experience working with young children with special needs
in early education settings. Strong communication skills for
effective collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to manage travel between multiple sites and adapt
instructional strategies accordingly. Location: Benton, LA (Onsite
only in elementary school settings) Additional Details: Position
Duration: ASAP through 5/19/2026 Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per
week Caseload: Itinerant teacher serving multiple sites This role
