Pinnergy has an immediate opening for a Diesel Mechanic at its Mansfield, LA location. Job duties and responsibilities: Adept at troubleshooting and diagnosing problems with mechanical equipment and possesses the ability to apply a resolution in a timely manner. Proficient at repairing, replacing, dismantling and inspecting defective equipment such as pumps, valves, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, generators, general work-over and drilling auxiliary equipment. Coordinates purchasing with appropriate personnel and vendors in an effort to help achieve timely repair of equipment. Assists operations as needed. Competently operates and maintains facility equipment with minimal guidance or assistance as directed by and in coordination with the Field and Production Manager. Proficiently performs duties of a Mechanical Technician in the operation of the combined equipment. Maintains equipment by tightening fittings, replacing valve packing, gaskets, valves, and gauges. Cleaning, replacing, oiling and lubricating other component parts and equipment as required. As required, proficient in completely overhauling valves, pumps, compressors and other common equipment is essential. Preforms additional duties as assigned. Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. ASE certified a plus. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
