Report To: Senior Director, Operations Overview: Under the
direction of the Senior Director of Operations, the Print
Operations Director leads and manages all print manufacturing
operations in a manner that maximizes productivity, meets client
demands, and minimizes cost. Primary responsibilities:
--- Directly supervises the Customer Service Representative (CSR)
Lead and all print shop production personnel.
--- Working alongside the Customer Service Representative Lead, the
Print Operations Director prioritizes, schedules, and delegates all
--- Works with the Customer Service Representative Lead, Sales
Reps, CSRs, and production personnel to manage job progress and
project due dates to ensure 100% on-time delivery of all proofs,
samples, and jobs.
--- Oversees all purchasing activities related to print
manufacturing and facilities.
--- Works with the Customer Service Representative Lead to
coordinate all job-related purchases and outside services.
--- Works with shop personnel to ensure that all equipment and
facilities are properly maintained.
--- Works with the Senior Director of Operations to establish
budgetary, production, and quality standards, and ensures that
these standards are met.
--- Conducts annual performance appraisals for all direct

documents in accordance with company policies.
--- Assists the Senior Director of Operations in the evaluation and
selection of print production equipment and facilities.
--- Assists in other printing and bindery processes as needed.
--- Other duties as required to support customer satisfaction.

--- A thorough understanding of the printing and manufacturing
processes employed by, and products offered at, L.A.B.
--- Ability to effectively manage the lifecycle of a job through
the manufacturing process, including prioritizing, delegating, and
following up on the tasks required to do so.

decision-making skills and the ability to think logically and

--- Strong math and computer skills, and proficiency in the use of
Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet usage.
--- A minimum of five to 10 years of similar printing industry
experience and/or an Associates or Bachelor's degree in Printing
Technology or Printing Management (preferred).
--- The work environment is a combination of office/computer work
and manufacturing. Significant time in the manufacturing
environment is required, with the ability to stand for periods of
time and lift 30-pound cartons. Louisiana Association for the Blind
