Emergency Medicine Fellowship Director We are looking for a
dedicated and skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to take on the
role of Global Emergency Medicine Fellowship Director. This
position merges clinical responsibilities with academic leadership
in the fields of global health and emergency medicine education.
The successful candidate will manage fellowship programs, mentor
fellows, engage in research, and enhance international health
collaborations. Candidates should possess board certification in
Emergency Medicine, experience in global health projects, and a
strong dedication to medical education and emergency care. Our
organization is in search of a proactive and experienced Emergency
Medicine Physician to lead the Global Emergency Medicine
Fellowship. This role provides a unique opportunity to integrate
clinical skills with leadership in global health, education, and
research. The ideal applicant will have a background in global
emergency medicine, a commitment to educational excellence, and a
desire to improve emergency care on a global scale. Key
Responsibilities Fellowship Leadership: Oversee and guide the
Global Emergency Medicine Fellowship, ensuring it aligns with the
highest standards in global health and emergency medicine
education. Mentor fellows in their academic, clinical, and
professional journeys, providing support in research, quality
improvement projects, and global health initiatives. Maintain
program accreditation and represent the fellowship at relevant
meetings. Clinical Practice: Deliver exceptional emergency care in
a high-volume emergency department, treating over 200,000 patients
each year. As a clinical leader, exemplify best practices in
patient care, emergency protocols, and teamwork while contributing
to the education of residents and medical students. Global Health
Initiatives: Expand academic partnerships with international
institutions, such as Georgetown Public Hospital in Guyana. Lead
initiatives focused on capacity building, strengthening emergency
care systems, and enhancing global health education. Collaborate
with the Global Health Institute to maximize global health impact.
Research and Scholarship: Propel research efforts in global
emergency medicine, securing funding, publishing findings in
peer-reviewed journals, and presenting at national and
international conferences. Support fellows in their research
activities, fostering a culture of inquiry and evidence-based
practice. Educational Outreach: Develop and implement educational
programs, workshops, and resources aimed at enhancing emergency
care in resource-limited settings worldwide. Engage in public
speaking, webinars, and other platforms to advocate for global
health initiatives and emergency medicine education. Qualifications
MD with board certification in Emergency Medicine. Fellowship
training in Global Emergency Medicine or equivalent experience is
highly desirable. A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in
emergency medicine, with substantial involvement in global health
initiatives and academic leadership. Demonstrated success in
educational leadership and managing global health projects. Strong
clinical expertise in emergency care, excellent mentorship and
communication skills, and proficiency in research methodologies,
grant writing, and academic publishing. Ability to collaborate
effectively across disciplines and cultures. A genuine passion for
global health, medical education, and enhancing emergency care
