Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel Perfusionist Level II for a travel job in Texarkana, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Perfusionist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Allied Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n Perfusionist - Perfusionist /n/n Job Details: /n • Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM /n• Arrive 30 minutes before scheduled surgery for equipment set-up /n• Full-time position working 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week /n• Maintain and operate cardiopulmonary pump, Cell Saver, autotransfuser, and intra-aortic balloon pump during invasive cardiovascular procedures /n• Operate life support equipment for patients undergoing open-heart surgery, specifically the cardiopulmonary bypass machine /n• Set up and operate left and/or right heart bypass pumps and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation systems /n• Demonstrate knowledge of heparin, protamine, and anticoagulation-titration analysis systems /n• Serve in advisory capacity to surgeons for cardiac drug administration /n• Set up and operate auto transfusion equipment for cardiovascular, orthopedic, and vascular surgical procedures /n• Assist with IABP insertion in OR, Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, and other areas as required /n• Ensure heart-lung machines are cleaned and maintained per manufacturer recommendations /n• Complete perfusionist program from accredited institution required /n• 3 years of experience preferred, open to new graduates /n• BLS certification required (AHA only) /n• Texas state perfusionist licensure required /n• Board eligibility or certification by American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion preferred /n• Temp to perm option available /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare system is a comprehensive medical facility that provides advanced cardiovascular services and surgical procedures.
