Job Description Job Description David Raines Community Health Centers is looking for passionate, qualified applicants to join our team! The PRN Licensed Practical Nurse Pediatric performs job duties on an "as needed" basis and provides patient care to children under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses, focusing on basic needs and assisting with more complex procedures. The PRN LPN Pediatric utilizes observational skills and reports pertinent patient symptoms and/or changes in conditions to the provider. Common duties include vital sign monitoring, medication administration, wound care, assisting with daily living activities, and educating patients and families. The PRN LPN Pediatric assists with emergency medical situations and document medications, treatments, and patient education. Work Experience Requirements: Administering medications and vaccinations. Monitoring patients’ vital signs. Assisting with diagnostic tests and procedures. Providing wound care and dressing changes. Conducting routine physical examinations. Documenting patient information and medical records. Educating patients and their families about health care practices. Assisting with feeding and personal care needs. Supporting pediatricians during examinations and treatments. Maintaining a clean and safe patient environment. Communicating effectively with the healthcare team. Preparing and sterilizing medical equipment. Responding to emergency situations. Assists in performing clerical duties as needed. Education/Experience Requirements: (The minimum qualifications can be with any combination of education and/or experience.) Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing. Minimum one year of experience in related duties. Must have Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Pediatric credentialed from the Louisiana Board of Nursing. Current BLS/CPR card must be valid through employment. FQHC or Healthcare experience. Experience with electronic health records required, preferably NextGen or similar EHS. Work Schedule/Location: PRN "as needed" basis; varies DRCHC locations WHAT WE OFFER?
