Job Description Job Title: Psychiatrist Location: Columbus, OH 43215 Duration: 6 months’ Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Position Overview: Seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric care across multiple facilities within Region 5. The role involves direct patient care, consultation, and coordination with healthcare teams. Must be local to Ohio, preferably based in or near Columbus. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate, diagnose, and treat individuals across all age groups (children and adults). Prescribe medications and perform in-depth psychotherapy and counseling (e.g., psychoanalysis, behavior modification). Monitor and coordinate psychiatric care with medical, nursing, and direct care staff. Review clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness; recommend improvements in processes or staffing. Lead or participate in educational sessions and seminars related to psychiatry. Key Competencies: Strong knowledge of psychiatry, psychology, medicine, anatomy, physiology, and sociology. Ability to analyze complex cases, interpret medical literature, and make sound clinical decisions. Skilled in medication administration and therapeutic interventions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage sensitive patient interactions. Ability to lead and train healthcare staff.
