Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical - Neuro Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required, travel experience preferred License: Must hold a valid nursing license Certifications: NIHSS, BLS Must-Have: - Experience in a general neuro unit - Proficient in Epic charting system - Understanding of telemetry and oximetry monitoring - Skills in interpretation of dysrhythmias - Experience in managing various nursing procedures and care Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical - Neuro. The nurse will work in a unit that comprises private rooms, serving a diverse patient population from young adults to geriatrics. Priority admission is given to patients needing medical-surgical level monitoring, interventions, and care. The patient population primarily includes both medical and surgical patients with neurology or neurosurgical diagnoses. The unit is equipped with telemetry and oximetry monitoring systems. The nurse will work a 3x12 hour day shift. Patient ratios are set at 1:6 on the unit. The role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary support personnel including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The nurse will be responsible for a variety of nursing tasks including monitoring and managing different patient care needs.
