Job Description:

The Mechanical/Piping Designer is an onsite position working for a client in the Shreveport, LA area. We anticipate the pay will start at about $45/hour, but may be higher depending on experience and fit with the position needs and requirements.The Mechanical/Piping Designer will execute and review complex engineering design projects, ensuring technical accuracy and constructability. This role requires minimal supervision and involves collaboration with various disciplines.Key Responsibilities:Interpret and analyze general designs provided by engineers.Prepare detailed designs for engineer approval.Create construction drawing packages using company standards and drafting techniques.Ensure technical accuracy and constructability of designs.Develop layouts and estimates from job scope and vendor information.Perform field verifications and P&ID walk-downs.Qualifications:Technology training in Drafting and Design from an accredited school required; Associate degree preferred.3-5 years of refinery design experience required; 10-15 years preferred.3-5 years experience with AutoCAD, CADWorx, and AutoCAD Plant 3D Software required; 10-15 years preferred.Ability to climb ladders, maneuver through pipe racks, and work at heights with a harness.Local candidates preferred; per diem considered for highly qualified non-local candidates.Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledIND1PI3a16115f713d-25660-35302509
