Job Description:
We are looking for Echo/Cardiovascular Technologists (Echo Tech)
for an immediate travel opening in Shreveport, LA. The right Echo
Tech should have 1 year of experience. Read below for more
requirements.As an Echo Tech, you will be responsible for the use
of the cardiac ultrasound machine and ensuring that images are
accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.
Echo Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring
for patients undergoing echocardiograms.TasksAs an Echo Tech, you
should be prepared to perform the following tasks:Educate patients
and/or patient's family regarding procedures performedDemonstrate
competence in performance of echocardiographic studiesConsistently
perform quality Doppler and color Doppler ExamsAcquire quality
Stress Echo and Dobutamine images according to Physician and
benchmark standardsPerform quality Trans esophageal echocardiograms
according to physician expectationsDemonstrate an understanding of
cardiac disease processes and acquired imagesReport findings or
concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretationPerform all
related processing required for each completed studyMaintain
equipment including cleaning and disinfecting according to
department procedure and identifying problems with equipment and
reporting appropriatelyMaintain accurate patient recordsUnderstand
and use the McKesson PACS systemRequirementsMust have 1 year of
experience. Must have BLS and ARMDS or CCI National Certification
and state-specific licensing when required.Echo Techs should be
able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend,
lean or stoop without difficulty. Echo Techs must have a sound
knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical
terminology.Requirements*: ARDMS (AE), CCI, BLS, 2 Years*
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an
