SummaryThe Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the
day-to-day operations of the production environment. The primary
objective is to observe and evaluate team members' performance,
quality of work, work ethics, and contributions, and make
recommendations to management based on the observances. The
Production Supervisor should monitor performance and metrics,
conduct appropriate counseling/conversation sessions when
necessary, and make suggestions to management on staffing needs and
projections. The Production Supervisor has the first level of
responsibility for the quality of product being produced. This
position must observe and display safety on a daily basis, as well
as adhere to SQF and GMP requirements. Job Duties and

- Maintains a personnel structure and staffing level to
accomplish orders and objectives.
- Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors, and
evaluates performance of production employees. Ensures their
ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move
materials to and from storage configurations. Counsels, records,
and coaches as necessary. Develops crew leaders to effectively
oversee the daily routines of their assigned crew members.
- Anticipates staffing needs according to upcoming orders and
forecasted production numbers.
- Review, evaluate, and recommend candidates for hire and
termination.
- Monitor and track employee performance in regard to established
metrics.
- Review products to ensure their compliance with quality
standards and company expectations. KnowledgeThe general knowledge

ResponsibilityThis position will regularly oversee a team of up to
35, non-exempt employees. General supervision responsibilities will
include scheduling, time and attendance, and monitoring/reporting
staffing numbers and needs, as well as making personnel
recommendations to management. Work EnvironmentThe work environment
is typically between 60 and 90 degrees, depending on the time of
the year. However, the employee may be required to enter the
freezer (zero degrees) on an occasional basis. The work environment
is typically noisy with regular amounts of machine noises including
but not limited to typical sounds from forklifts, freight trucks,
high lifts, and other manufacturing-related machinery. The smell of
related chemicals and lubricants may occur. Physical DemandsThe
physical demands described here are representative of those that
must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential
functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to be
able to bend, stand, or lift. The employee is required to be able
to lift items on a regular basis, up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred.
3. At least 1 year supervisory or leadership experience is
required. 4. At least 3 years experience in a manufacturing,
production, or related field is highly preferred. Work
AuthorizationIf hired, all employees are required to submit proof
of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of
