Electrical Engineer
Location: Shreveport, LA area
 
Description:
This company has 3 100-person production facilities in the nearby area. This role will be at an expanding petrochemical manufacturing plant. This plant produces specialty lubricants such as transformer oils at a rate of 10,000 barrels per day (their main site produces up 40,000 barrels of gasoline a day). This person will be reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager. You'll be responsible for designing, specifying, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems. Working with electrical equipment such as motors, breakers, generators, relays, starters, transformers, and other industrial equipment (up to 15V). Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, problem solving, and assisting other departments on site.
 
Requirements:

• 
  
• B.S. Electrical Engineering or B.S. Electrical Engineering Technology
  
• 5+ Years out of chemicals, refining, foods, farms, widgets, or industrial related background
  
• Ideal candidate should have 1 or more of the following: power, DCS, PLC, instrumentation, motor controls 
  
• Experience with understanding One-Lines, P&IDs, and similar diagrams
