Job Description:
Position Summary & Duties: The Plant Manager is a direct hire
position working for a specialty chemical client in the Northern
Louisiana/Southern Arkansas area.
Plant Manager Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
--- Provide direct leadership to the Engineering Manager,
Operations Manager, EH&S Manager, Technical Process Chemist,
and Quality Lab Manager with indirect leadership to the legal,
financial, and human resource functions within the
organization.
--- The Plant Manager will maintain and improve plant process
safety information, support and participate in process hazard
analysis.
--- Oversee development, review, and improvement of standard
operating procedures.
--- Continue to improve safety performance through utilization of
job hazard analysis, safe work permitting, behavior-based safety,
root cause analysis, housekeeping, and training.
--- Ensure compliance regarding all Environmental, Health & Safety
laws and regulations as well as all company policies and
procedures.
--- Lead operational excellence efforts in the areas of production
efficiencies, product yield, operating costs and product
quality.
--- The Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of production,
including raw material ordering, production scheduling, catalyst
replacements and turnarounds.
--- Ensure proper maintenance programs are in place to sustain the
reliability of the plant's manufacturing assets.
--- Provide technical support for the planning and execution of
daily maintenance work.
--- Drive a continuous improvement mentality and strive for
excellence in all areas of the operation.
--- Ensure Asset Improvement generates value and controls cost by
facilitating analysis, evaluation and prioritization of improvement
ideas.

Qualifications:
Plant Manager Education/Experience:
--- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related
disciplines (chemistry, materials science, polymer science, etc.).
MBA preferred.
--- Ten or more years of experience in specialty chemical
manufacturing, which includes work process, operations excellence,
maintenance and reliability, and continuous improvement.
--- A minimum of three years' experience at the plant manager or
site manager level.
--- Demonstrated success at leading a highly efficient facility
with little to zero on-site accidents.
--- Willing to relocate to the Northern Louisiana/Southern Arkansas
area.
