A Field Services Scheduler (Electrical Substation) job is available
with Kelly Engineering Services in Shreveport, LA area for a
one-year contract opportunity. A Technical Degree (Electrical or
Electronics) or equivalent with power or substation experience. You
will be responsible for scheduling pre-determined work activities
of transmission field personnel. Independently lead the effort to
develop and analyze intermediate and complex project and
maintenance outage and work schedules using Transmission approved
software. This is a long-term contract opportunity with a
state-of-the-art technology company.
This Scheduler job includes
- :Preform non-standard test processing and problem-solving, as
well as actual processing of state-of-the-art device.
- Provide front end loaded schedules as well as completed ready
to execute resource loaded schedules that optimize the maintenance
work plans, capital work plans and other work activities.
- Manage outage requests, including entering outages and
verifying that all required outages have been entered.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of scheduling software and upgrades
to the software.
Develop fully integrated resource loaded and levelized work
schedules that optimize maintenance work plans, capital outage
work, and other work activities using Transmission approved
scheduling software and tools.
- Comply with the Transmission Outage Management Strategy System
(TOMSS) Business Rules and Processes.
- Manage FS outage requests, including entering outages into TOA
or its successor, verifying that all required outages have been
entered, and ensuring that all outage requests.
- Organize, coordinate and conduct the TOMSS outage coordination
- Coordinate changes to the work schedule when an outage needs to
be canceled or rescheduled.
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field such as
Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management and
has typically acquired 5 or more years of related technical
experience; or an Associate Degree in a related technical field, An
electrical engineering degree is highly preferred.
- Must have the ability to read a one-line diagram for an

installation, commissioning, lock out tag out, P&C trip
testing, or equipment servicing will be needed for a successful
- Good knowledge about electric power systems, relays, electrical
