The City of Nacogdoches is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable City Gardener! About The Role: Oversee the beauty and health of our city's green spaces! The City Gardener is responsible for the design, maintenance and planting of various materials across city properties, with a focus on downtown planter boxes and hanging baskets. Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain various plant materials across city properties. Manage downtown planter boxes and hanging baskets. Purchase all necessary plant material and supplies. Provide expert horticultural advice to City staff (disease/insect control, proper care). Perform planting, weeding, fertilizing, water and pruning. Qualifications: Degree in Horticulture or equivalent combination of education/experience and at least 4 years experience in the horticulture field. Must possess a valid Texas driver license.
